Description
Named for a contest, and it behaves like one. Oud War is the densest composition in the range — oud at the front, unhedged, with nine materials arranged around it rather than in front of it.
Patchouli and fir balsam give it resin; amberwood, cedar and cashmere woods give it breadth; cinnamon and geranium cut across the middle; rose and tonka bean stop it short of severity. Nothing here is decorative.
